Italian Women's Serie A2 Basketball Calendar Unveiled, Season Opens Oct 3

The Italian Basketball Federation (FIP) has published the 2026‑27 Serie A2 women’s basketball schedule. Mercede Basket Alghero will open its home campaign on 3 October against Salerno Basket ’92 and will conclude the regular season on 20 March in Naples, with playoff or playout placement determined by final standings.

In the same group, Asd Usmate (Monza) also debuts at home on 3 October, facing Sanga Milano. Usmate’s group includes Milano Basket Stars, Pallacanestro Torino, Alpo Villafranca, Vicenza, Basket Club Bolzano, Futurosa Trieste and Sardinian sides Cus Cagliari, Virtus Cagliari and San Salvatore Selargius. The season runs to 20 March, after which the top two teams advance directly to the playoffs, the next four to qualification rounds, and the bottom teams face relegation.
