Italian women's volleyball league structure and Club Italia move to Parma
The Italian women's volleyball championship is organized by the Federazione Italiana Pallavolo (FIPAV) through a multi-level system. The structure ranges from the elite Serie A1, which offers qualification for European competitions, to Serie A2, Serie A3, and national tiers like Serie B1 and B2, extending down to local regional levels.
In a significant development for youth development, the Club Italia—a FIPAV youth formation for athletes aged 16 to 18—will play its Serie A2 home matches at the PalaRaschi in Parma. This move follows a renovation of the facility funded by PNRR grants. While the team will continue training at the Pavesi Federal Center in Milan under the supervision of technical commissioner Julio Velasco, the Parma agreement marks a shift from previous seasons where the team lacked a consistent home venue.
