Italian Youth Football Teams Earn Top Spots and Fair Play Honors

The FC Rieti Under‑16 squad finished second at the Trofeo Centro Italia held in Castel di Sangro and Roccaraso from 5‑7 June, securing the Fair Play award and seeing captain Simone Feliciangeli named the tournament’s best player. The team recorded a 4‑1 win and two draws in the group stage, and despite a narrow loss in the final, their performance was praised for maturity, teamwork and sportsmanship.

In Ferrara, the Ars et Labor youth sides concluded a strong season at the Memorial “Resca‑Gardinali” tournament. The Under‑15 team came from behind to win a dramatic final on penalties, while the Under‑17 side fell 3‑1 after an early two‑goal deficit despite a late rally. Forward Fiorini was highlighted as the top scorer with seven goals, sharing the accolade with peers from opposing clubs. Both clubs emphasized the development of young talent and the importance of fair competition.
