Italian youth literature festivals celebrate milestones in Reggio Calabria and Foggia

Two major Italian youth literature festivals have reached significant milestones. In Reggio Calabria, the Ragazzi MedFest, organized by SpazioTeatro, is celebrating its tenth edition. Scheduled from October 31 to November 8, 2026, the festival will focus on the intersection of theater and children's literature, featuring performances, workshops, and readings at venues including the Castello Aragonese and Teatro Francesco Cilea.

Meanwhile, the 16th edition of the Buck Festival in Foggia, themed ‘In altre parole’, concluded with record participation. The eight-day event drew over 15,000 attendees and included meetings with international authors and illustrators, workshops, and educational programs involving 400 university students. The festival, organized by the Fondazione dei Monti Uniti di Foggia and local municipal departments, saw sold-out sessions at the Teatro Umberto Giordano.
