Italian youth projects expose school gaps and celebrate Constitution

On 14 May 2026 the Auditorium Giovanni Azzaretti in Fortunago (PV) hosted the closing event of the F.A.R.E. (Futuro Azione Radici Eredità) project, organised by Associazione Sulleregole and the Fondazione Roberto Franceschi. The programme featured former magistrate Gherardo Colombo, teacher‑songwriter Fabio Caone and pianist Alessandro Ferretto, and saw local schools present videos honouring partisans and constitutional figures, delivering copies of the Italian Constitution to eighteen‑year‑olds.

A month later, from 2 to 4 June, 150 Italian youths aged 16‑21 participated in Villaggio Futuro 2026, a 36‑hour hackathon coordinated by Conthackto with H‑FARM College and Ecosistema Futuro. The event focused on education, artificial intelligence, sustainability, gender equality and civic participation. A questionnaire revealed that 62% of participants feel the school system does not prepare them for real life, while 78% are already active in volunteering or entrepreneurial projects. Despite concerns, 72% view AI as an opportunity; the winning hackathon project, “mAIeutika”, proposes an AI‑driven platform that stimulates critical thinking rather than offering direct answers.
