Italy-U.S. relations see record trade and cultural recognition

Recent events in Washington D.C. and New York highlight the strengthening economic and cultural ties between Italy and the United States. Valerio De Molli, CEO of The European House Ambrosetti, noted that bilateral trade, including exports, imports, and mutual investments, has reached record levels despite global geopolitical tensions.

In Washington, the fourth edition of the Italpress Awards recognized Italian and Italian-American figures for promoting ‘Made in Italy’ excellence. Award recipients included Attilio Fontana, President of the Lombardy Region; Ambassador Giorgio Marrapodi, Italy’s permanent representative to the UN; Ambassador Marco Peronaci, the Italian Ambassador to Washington; journalist Gianni Riotta; and Tommaso Tanzilli, President of the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group.

In New York, the ninth edition of the Business Care International Award is scheduled for November 18-19. The event, hosted at the Italian Consulate General and Piazza Italia in Times Square, will honor various professionals across sectors such as aviation, finance, and medicine, including Massimo Allegri of Ita Airways and Federico Ferrante of Azimut Benetti America. The ceremonies aim to foster networking and cultural dialogue between Italian and American business leaders.
