Italthai Engineering targets data centers and renewable energy sectors

Italthai Engineering Co., Ltd. has announced a strategic shift to focus on three key growth areas: data centers, renewable energy, and multinational corporation (MNC) factories. Leveraging 59 years of experience, the company aims to act as a multi-disciplinary EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor, providing a ‘Single Point of Responsibility’ model that covers everything from design and construction to maintenance.

The move responds to significant investment trends in Thailand. According to the Board of Investment (BOI), investment applications in the first half of 2026 reached 1.47 trillion baht, a 37% increase from the previous year. This growth is driven by the digital industry, which accounted for approximately 1.12 trillion baht in applications, alongside substantial interest in electronics and renewable energy production.

CEO Yuthachai Joranajit noted that Thailand’s transition toward becoming a regional digital hub and a future manufacturing base is increasing the complexity of engineering requirements. The company intends to utilize its specialized expertise and project management systems to support the expansion of digital infrastructure, particularly within the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).
