Italy: Administrative closures ordered in Fiastra and Casamicciola Terme
In Fiastra, administrators have ordered the immediate closure of a newsstand and e-bike rental service located at the entrance of the lake beach. The managers, Claudio Bellini and Emanuela Leli, have characterized the move as "administrative harassment," alleging that the municipality is violating a stay of execution previously ordered by the Tar Marche regarding building non-compliance issues.
The closure occurs during peak tourist season. The operators noted the paradox that the e-bike rental company is also involved in Pnrr-funded tourism and mobility projects alongside the same municipality.
Separately, in Casamicciola Terme, the kitchen at the Suisse Termal Village has been ordered to shut down immediately. Mayor Giosi Ferrandino issued an urgent ordinance following an inspection by Asl Napoli 2 Nord, which identified "serious hygienic-sanitary and structural non-conformities."
The health authority determined that the conditions posed an "imminent and grave danger to public health," failing to meet minimum European food hygiene standards. The suspension applies to all food manipulation, preparation, and distribution activities by the owner, Suisse Gestioni S. r. l., until required standards are restored.
