Italy advances social agriculture and professional training initiatives

Led by Coldiretti and involving various social cooperatives and farms, the project aims to create socio-labor opportunities for people with disabilities and disadvantaged workers. Funded by the European Union, the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, and the Tuscany Region, the initiative seeks to transform farms into hubs for education, environmental awareness, and social interaction.

In Catania, a separate focus is being placed on professional development through a partnership between Ebat Ciala and ForAgri. A dedicated conference aims to address the need for proximity-based training that meets the specific requirements of local agricultural businesses and workers. The goal is to use continuous training as a tool to support the evolution of the agricultural industry and provide practical solutions for professionals in the field.
