Italy announces equestrian squad for St. Tropez League of Nations

The Italian national show jumping team has announced its roster for the League of Nations event in St. Tropez-Gassin. Technical selector Stefano Cesaretto has named Piergiorgio Bucci as the team leader, following Bucci’s fourth-place individual finish at the 2026 World Championships in Aachen.

The squad includes Emanuele Camilli, Emanuele Gaudiano, and Giampiero Garofalo. The team is supported by Chef d'Equipe Marco Bergomi.

Italy currently holds 9th place in the standings with 160 points, trailing 8th-place Belgium by five points. The upcoming meeting on September 20 serves as the final qualifying event for the circuit, where the top eight national teams will secure spots for the Finals in Barcelona on October 4. The Italian team aims to secure qualification for the Catalan event after having already secured a team pass for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
