Italy announces Giro del Lago di Santa Croce multisport race and Barcolana Nuota open‑water swim

The Alpine community of Puos d’Alpago will host the 32nd edition of the Giro del Lago di Santa Croce on Sunday 16 August 2026. The multisport event includes a 17.4‑km cycling race, a matching running course, a handbike race, a 4.8‑km roller‑blade course and a 7‑km walk. Entry costs €8, with proceeds supporting the Via di Natale hospice in Aviano, the Cucchini Association in Belluno and the Alpago Solidale project. Participants receive a t‑shirt featuring artwork by local hyper‑realist Maria Meraglia.

The 58th Barcolana Nuota open‑water swimming competition is scheduled for Sunday 4 October 2026 in Trieste’s San Giusto basin. Organized by the Società Velica di Barcola e Grignano together with US Triestina Nuoto and sponsored by Honda, the race covers the traditional 1.85‑km course. Registration is online until 30 September, with a €40 fee; the first 300 entrants receive a Murphy&Nye technical bag, an official t‑shirt, a race cap and a Honda‑provided water bottle.
