Finanza officer jailed for secret leaks and fuel‑price kickbacks in Sicily

The Guardia di Finanza arrested an Appuntato of the Termini Imerese unit and placed a local fuel‑dealer under house arrest. The officer is accused of revealing confidential information about patrol schedules and locations to the businessman in exchange for discounted agricultural diesel. Both are also charged with peculato tied to the appropriation of counterfeit designer bags seized during the investigation. The court in Termini Imerese, presided by GIP Erina Cirincione, ordered prison for the officer and domiciliary confinement for the entrepreneur.

The case was investigated by the Palermo finance police under the coordination of the Prosecutor’s Office of Termini Imerese and highlights ongoing efforts to combat corruption and illicit trade within public service structures.
