Italy Boosts Agricultural Expertise with One Health Master and AgriCat Hiring
Michele Losciale, a graduate of the MSc in Science and Technology of Animal Production (STPA), secured a permanent position at AgriCat – Fondo Catastrofi Agricoltura, the public fund that manages national agricultural disaster‑risk insurance. His academic background includes a thesis on income risk in agriculture and an Erasmus study period at the Universitat Politècnica de València.
The University of Piedmont (UPO) is launching its first second‑level master program, “One Health: agriculture and environment,” for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The interdisciplinary course, created with the Fondazione Agrion and supported by Confagricoltura, will train professionals to address sustainability, food safety, and health challenges across human, animal, and ecosystem domains. The programme targets graduates in biology, biotechnology, veterinary medicine, agronomy, environmental sciences, economics, and law, and will combine online and on‑site teaching in Alessandria.
