Italy celebrates coffee culture through regional festivals and events

Various cultural events are being held in Italy to celebrate coffee culture and historical landmarks. In Avellino, the IV edition of the Festa del Caffè will take place from September 28 to October 3 at Bar Caffeoveggenza. The event aims to transform the daily coffee ritual into a cultural experience through poetry, exhibitions, theater, and tastings.

In Naples, Gran Caffè Gambrinus is hosting activities for International Coffee Day on October 1, featuring an open day in the Salone degli Specchi with various extraction techniques and historical coffee equipment on display. This coincides with efforts by the Comunità del Rito del Caffè Espresso d’Italia to support the UNESCO candidacy for the Italian Espresso Ritual. Additionally, the cafe will host guided tours on October 3 for the National Day of Historical Locales of Italy. The celebrations also include the ‘Un caffè per Fondazione Telethon’ fundraising campaign.
