Italy celebrates Rino Gaetano's 76th birthday with musical tributes

Various events are scheduled across Italy to commemorate the 76th birthday of singer-songwriter Rino Gaetano, who was born on October 29, 1950.

In Rome, the Rino Gaetano Band, led by the artist's nephew Alessandro Gaetano, will perform two special concerts at the Riverside on October 29 and 30. The performances aim to honor the legacy of the artist, whose music addressed social issues such as globalization, peace, and inequality. The events will also feature emerging Italian musical talents.

In Terni, a commemorative evening titled ‘Nella notte di Rino il cielo è sempre più blu’ will take place on October 29 at the Hotel Michelangelo. The event will combine music, theater, and storytelling, featuring Domenico ‘Mimì’ Messina, a longtime friend of Gaetano from his school years in Narni. The program includes a dinner with musical accompaniment and a theatrical performance by Stefano de Majo.
