Italy completes PNRR objectives for final 28.4 billion euro installment

Italy has achieved the 156 objectives required to trigger the tenth and final installment of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), totaling 28.4 billion euros. Minister for European Affairs Tommaso Foti stated that the completion of these targets represents a significant result for the country and a victory for the Meloni government.

Foti noted that the successful implementation of all 576 objectives within the Plan has resulted in net spending exceeding 133 billion euros. These investments have targeted structural improvements in healthcare, infrastructure, ecological transition, education, digitalization, culture, employment, and social inclusion to enhance national competitiveness.

Angelo Contessa, president of ANCE Brindisi, credited the achievement to a collective effort between institutions, businesses, and workers. He highlighted that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the construction sector, particularly in Southern Italy, have improved their organizational capacity and skills through the Plan. Contessa emphasized the need for stable, multi-year public works programming to maintain the momentum gained during the PNRR implementation.
