Various Italian municipalities are conducting educational initiatives and public awareness campaigns focused on civil protection and disaster prevention.

In Santa Marinella, students at the “Piazzale della Gioventù” Institute participated in practical lessons on emergency management to mark the 45th anniversary of the 1981 flood. Led by disaster manager Giancarlo Manfredi, the session included simulations such as preparing emergency backpacks and discussing evacuation procedures and communication blackouts.

In Paternò, the “Io non rischio” national campaign is being observed in Piazza Indipendenza. Organized by ANPAS and supported by the Department of Civil Protection, the event aims to inform citizens about natural risks, including earthquakes, floods, tsunamis, volcanic activity, and forest fires. The program also includes the presentation of Paternò’s new Municipal Civil Protection Plan.
