INPS issues guidelines allowing insurance intermediaries to claim tax relief

The Institute for Social Security (INPS) has released a circular that defines the operational procedures for insurance agents and intermediaries to access the tax relief measures introduced by the 2026 State Budget – the Decontribuzione Sud and the Young Under‑36 exemption. The guidelines specify how beneficiaries can apply for the contributions reductions, recover arrears and fulfil the required compliance steps. The measure fulfills the government’s agenda to boost employment and growth, a request that was voiced by Luca Cannata, vice‑president of the Chamber’s Budget Committee. Cannata welcomed the decision, stating: “I welcome the publication of the INPS circular – it completes the implementation path and finally allows agents and intermediaries to benefit concretely from the stipulated reliefs.” The circular is now the basis for insurers to start the application process.
