Lazio launches CURA prize to promote patient‑centred care

The Lazio regional government, led by President Francesco Rocca and Regional Health Director Andrea Urbani, created the annual CURA prize to recognise and publicise initiatives that humanise health care. The award follows the November 2025 “Stati Generali della Salute” and is intended to strengthen the proximity of services and the integrated management of patients across the regional health system. Each year the prize will highlight exemplary practices, provide a replicable model and foster institutional pride for professionals, institutions and citizens.

The CURA prize reflects a broader push to make the health system more respectful of patients’ dignity, emotions and personal history, complementing clinical excellence and technological innovation.
