Italy cultural spending rises to 108 euros per month
Cultural spending among Italian families is rising, reaching an average of 108 euros per month. According to the Observatory on Cultural Experiences in Italy, conducted by Impresa Cultura Italia-Confcommercio in collaboration with Swg, this figure marks the highest level in the post-pandemic period and is approaching 2019 levels of 113 euros.
The most widespread activities include watching television, films, and series (92%), listening to music (87%), and radio (82%). Regarding direct spending, cinema (51%), museum and archaeological site visits (49%), theater and outdoor shows (40%), and live concerts (35%) are the most prominent.
There is also a growing interest in cultural weekends. In the last twelve months, 46% of Italians took at least one cultural weekend, with 34% traveling outside their own region. The average per capita expenditure for these trips rose to 286.2 euros, up from approximately 235 euros in the previous survey.
