Italy dominates Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships 2026

Italy has secured a dominant position at the 13th Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships (CSWWC) held in Kent, England. The Italian sparkling wine industry earned a total of 87 gold and 137 silver medals, significantly outperforming France, which received 31 gold and 25 silver medals.

Ferrari Trento has been named Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year for the fifth consecutive year and the eighth time overall. The producer secured nine gold medals during the competition.

The Trentodoc designation was also recognized as the most awarded classic method in the world for the second year in a row, collecting 79 medals consisting of 35 gold and 44 silver. The competition evaluated approximately 1,000 sparkling wines from 18 different countries.
