Italy earns 20 Grand Gold Medals at Mondial des Vins Extrêmes

At the 34th edition of the Mondial des Vins Extrêmes, organized by CERVIM, Italy secured second place among the most awarded countries, earning 20 Grand Gold Medals. The competition featured 1,175 wines from 432 companies representing 22 countries.

Italian award-winning wines originated from various regions, including Trentino, Valle d’Aosta, Piedmont, Lombardy, Liguria, Tuscany, Sardinia, Sicily, and Calabria. Notable varieties recognized include Petite Arvine, Vermentino, Pigato, Carignano del Sulcis, and wines from Etna and Pantelleria.

Spain took the top position, with the CERVIM Grand Prix awarded to Valle de Güímar Pico Cho Marcial Afrutado 2025 from Tenerife. The Canary Islands were also recognized as the viticultural zone with the highest number of entries.
