Italy education contract negotiations continue for 2025/2027 term
Negotiations between ARAN and trade unions have continued regarding the regulatory component of the 2025/2027 National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL) for Education and Research. A recent meeting held on September 28 focused on advancing the draft text following the finalization of the economic portion in July.
Key developments for teaching staff include clarifications on professional obligations, training, educational trips, and the return of staff holders after April 30. For ATA personnel and DSGA, the draft emphasizes the principle of continuity in the working day, particularly for technical assistants in the first cycle, by accounting for travel time when moving between school sites.
Union representatives from UIL Scuola and Anief raised several ongoing concerns. UIL Scuola noted that the professional profile of technical assistants still requires clearer contractual definition. Anief highlighted the need to include health and prevention as contractual matters, addressed meal vouchers, teacher mobility derogations, and pay parity for precarious workers to ensure they hold rights equal to permanent staff.
