Italy enhances community healthcare through pharmacy modernization and new regional agreements
In Italy, local healthcare infrastructure and regional pharmacy agreements are undergoing significant updates to enhance community services.
In Abbiategrasso, the municipal pharmacy on Viale Mazzini, managed by the AMAGA group, has been renovated following a 45-day construction period. The facility now features a robotic warehouse to improve efficiency, two new clinics for nursing services, and telemedicine capabilities for local screenings and monitoring. The renovation also includes updated accessibility features and a dedicated space for community educational activities.
Simultaneously, in Ascoli Piceno, representatives from AST 5 and Federfarma Marche met to discuss the implementation of a new regional integrative agreement. This agreement aims to integrate pharmacies more deeply into the territorial healthcare system, strengthening the collaboration between public and private pharmacies and the national health service to better address citizen needs.
