Italy expands anti-bullying and cyberbullying initiatives in schools

Various educational initiatives aimed at combating bullying and cyberbullying are being implemented across Italy. In Novara, the ‘Progetto per Tommaso’ has been renewed through a three-year collaboration protocol between the State Police and the local ASL (health authority). Originally established following a tragedy in 2009, the project has reached nearly 30,000 students over 16 years, focusing on digital education and preventing youth distress related to new technologies.

In Salerno, content creator Ludovico Aldasio has launched the ‘No al Bullismo’ project. This initiative targets high schools, including Liceo Classico Torquato Tasso and Liceo Scientifico Statale Giovanni da Procida, to promote empathy and inclusion. The program emphasizes the real-world consequences of online comments and encourages responsible social media use among adolescents.
