Italy expands free school‑bus passes for students in Emilia‑Romagna and Sardinia

The Emilia‑Romagna regional government has opened its Salta Su portal, offering free public‑transport passes to primary and lower‑secondary students and discounted Under‑26 passes to older pupils whose family ISEE is €30,000 or less. A one‑time €15 enrollment fee applies, and the passes can be obtained online or at Start Romagna service points.

In the Sardinian municipality of Quartu, applications for the local school‑bus service must be submitted online by 31 August. Applicants must attach ISEE statements, disability certificates, social‑service assistance attestations and proof of any required advance payment. Payments are made via the PagoPA platform, and failure to pay previous year’s fees results in exclusion from the allocation list. The service covers primary and lower‑secondary students living in out‑of‑town areas and includes transport for disabled pupils and extracurricular activities.
