Italy expands spirits and mixology offerings in Sardinia and Rome

The premium beverage sector in Italy is seeing new developments in spirits and mixology events. Il Viaggiator Goloso, part of the Finiper Canova Group, has launched two new spirits inspired by Sardinia: Gin 14 Botaniche and Amaro 25 Botaniche. The gin, featuring a 42% alcohol content, is distilled in a copper still using 14 local botanicals, including Gallura wild juniper, myrtle berries, rosemary, thyme, and citrus.

In Rome, the Orient Express group is expanding its mixology offerings through the ‘Routes’ series at La Minerva Bar and Wagon Bar. Located in the historic Palazzo Fonseca, these venues host international mixology events. A recent collaboration with Altamura Distilleries featured guest bartenders from Copenhagen’s TATA Cocktail Bar and Ruby, showcasing North European cocktail culture to guests at the world’s first Orient Express hotel.
