Italy faces teacher shortages for 2026 Mini Call veloce

The availability of teaching positions for the 2026 'Mini Call veloce' in Italy is facing a significant shortage. While the recruitment process for support teachers (ADSS, ADMM, ADAA, and ADEE) was intended to fill remaining vacancies after provincial appointments, many regions are reporting zero residual posts.

This shortage is no longer limited to southern Italy but is expanding to central and northern regions. Specifically, Calabria, Marche, Emilia-Romagna, Puglia, Sardegna, and Sicilia are reported to have no remaining positions across all specified categories. The scarcity is attributed to the priority given to regional lists and the exhaustion of vacancies during the initial provincial appointment phase using the first tier of the Graduatorie Provinciali per le Supplenze (GPS).

The Mini Call veloce window for applications is scheduled to run from 14:00 on August 14, 2026, until 12:00 on August 19, 2026. The procedure is open to teachers in the first tier of the GPS for support positions who have submitted applications for permanent roles with 150 preferences.
