Italy allocates 300 million euros to automotive supply chain

Italy is implementing several fiscal and industrial measures. The Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy has allocated 300 million euros to the automotive supply chain via development mini-contracts. This funding, signed by Minister Adolfo Urso, aims to support the green transition, including the development of low-emission propulsion systems, autonomous driving, and connected mobility technologies.

Regarding healthcare, the government has announced increased funding for palliative care, with annual resources rising to 120 million euros by 2025. However, critics, including members of the M5S, argue these funds are insufficient, noting that for 500,000 patients in need, the increase amounts to only a few dozen euros per person. Additionally, a GIMBE Foundation report highlights that Italian public healthcare spending is projected at 6.2% of GDP in 2025, significantly lower than the OECD average of 7.1%.

Looking toward the 2027 Budget Law, the government is considering labor-related tax breaks. Minister Marina Calderone has indicated plans to continue tax relief for contract renewals, productivity bonuses, and night or holiday shifts to incentivize employment and productivity.
