Italy hosts commemorative running events on October 11

Several running events are scheduled to take place in Italy on October 11.

In San Felice Circeo, the Corsa del Ricordo will be held on an 11 km coastal route. Organized by Asi with support from ANVGD, the race serves to commemorate the Foibe massacres and the exodus of Italian populations from the north-eastern border following World War II. The event also includes a 4 km metabolic walk for non-competitors along the seaside cycle path.

In Maracalagonis, the fifth edition of the “Correre per un sogno” Memorial, dedicated to Gregorio Piga, will take place. Organized by Asd Atletica Maracalagonis, the event features youth races, an absolute and master race covering 7.6 kilometers, marching trials, and a 50-meter baby sprint. A 3.8 km recreational walk is also available for all participants.
