Italy hosts community gatherings and street art auctions

In Italy, various community and cultural events have recently taken place. In Tarquinia, the Regina Pacis house in Le Saline hosted a community gathering known as ‘La Tribù delle Saline’ from August 23 to 30, 2026. Organized by the Diocese of Civitavecchia-Tarquinia, the event brought together groups such as Fede e Luce, La Casa di Pulcinella, and the Don Bosco parish from Rome, creating a space for shared reflection and social connection.

In Bordighera, street art created during the ‘Writers’ event on August 26 is being transitioned to a charity auction. The artworks, produced using spray paint, pop art, and lettering, reinterpret local themes and historical figures, including Claude Monet, Queen Margherita, and Sant’Ampelio. Participating artists include Praline Cosmiche, Scratch, Scarface, Abbondio27, and PIXEL, whose works bridge the gap between 19th-century Impressionism and contemporary urban culture.
