Italy hosts diplomatic meetings for China trade and Mediterranean cooperation

In Rome, the International Consular Institute participated in a bilateral meeting focused on economic and cultural cooperation between Italy and China. Organized by CCPIT Jiangxi with support from Assimpresa and the China-Italy Association of Shanghai, the meeting hosted a delegation from Jiangxi, including President Fang Yanru and Senator Zhu Yuhua. Discussions centered on promoting ‘Made in Italy’ excellence in sectors such as agribusiness, culture, and tourism, while exploring internationalization opportunities for Italian small and medium-sized enterprises within the Chinese market.

Separately, the second edition of the ‘Ponti del Sud’ initiative is scheduled to take place in Vibo Valentia. This event aims to utilize Mediterranean diplomatic relations to foster cooperation and peace between Europe and Africa. The initiative, led by the Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Morocco in Calabria, Domenico Naccari, brings together diplomatic, political, and institutional figures, including the Moroccan Ambassador to Italy, Youssef Balla, to transform institutional relations into concrete territorial collaboration.
