Italy hosts discussions on energy transition and nuclear fusion

Energy leaders and professionals in Italy are focusing on the dual challenges of decarbonization and energy affordability. Vinicio Vigilante, CEO of Gse, stated that the energy transition should serve as an opportunity for local territories to lower costs for families and businesses through renewable energy and efficiency measures.

In Rome, the Order of Journalists of Lazio is organizing a training event titled ‘All possible energies: from renewables to fusion.’ The forum will bring together representatives from government, academia, and industry to discuss the future of the energy sector, including the potential return of nuclear energy to the national debate and the role of nuclear fusion. Participants include experts from the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, ENEA, and various research and industrial organizations.
