Italy hosts major youth orientation and career fairs
Major educational and vocational orientation events are taking place across Italy to assist students in navigating academic and professional paths.
The 27th edition of OrientaSud, held at the Mostra d’Oltremare, drew over 40,000 young participants. Mariano Berriola, president of OrientaSud, noted that modern youth face increased disorientation, emphasizing the need for permanent motivational projects and active policies that integrate education with professional training. The event featured representatives from the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies and the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI).
In Erba, the Young 2026 national salon is being hosted at the Lariofiere exhibition center. This event aims to connect students and families with high schools, universities, ITS Academies, and companies. Maria Pierro, rector of the University of Insubria, highlighted the importance of helping students identify their professional vocations by considering their passions and expectations during these critical transitional periods.
