Italy hosts regional events celebrating agricultural biodiversity and rural traditions

Various regional events in Italy are highlighting agricultural biodiversity and rural traditions. In Fabrizia, the “Passo dell’Abate” international event is scheduled for October 2–4. This manifestation focuses on the agricultural and forestry sectors, showcasing new technologies, innovative solutions for forest management, and the natural resources of the Serre Vibonesi. The event aims to promote local excellence and attract international visitors to the region.

In Pennabilli, the 19th edition of the “Antichi Frutti d’Italia” will take place on September 26 and 27. Organized by the Tonino Guerra Cultural Association, the event features a market for ancient fruits and peasant plants, a national pomological exhibition, and workshops dedicated to traditional rural crafts. The festival emphasizes the connection between genetic biodiversity and historical rural landscapes, aiming to preserve and repurpose traditional agricultural knowledge for the future.
