Italy hosts regional initiatives for breast cancer prevention

Various regional initiatives in Italy are focusing on breast cancer prevention and support for women facing oncological diseases.

In Oriolo Romano, the 15th edition of ‘Oriolo in Rosa’ was held to promote prevention and solidarity. Organized with Spazio Supporto Donna and involving professionals from the Agostino Gemelli University Polyclinic, the event serves as a community reference point for health awareness. Spazio Supporto Donna, led by Graziella Lombi, provides year-round support, including screenings and nutritional services.

In Senigallia, the 14th ‘Passeggiata in Rosa per la Vita’ is scheduled for October 4. Promoted by Fidapa BPW Italy and Atletica Senigallia, the event features a 4.5-kilometer walk to raise awareness about healthy lifestyles and cancer prevention. The initiative supports organizations such as AOS and ANDOS, as well as research conducted by the Mario Negri Pharmacological Research Institute.
