Italy hosts vintage motorcycle rally and historical transhumance trek

Italy will host two distinct cultural and historical events focused on heritage and tradition.

The 11th edition of the Brescia-Napoli vintage motorcycle rally will take place from September 24 to 27. The event, which connects Northern and Southern Italy, will include La Spezia as a key stop. Sixteen teams consisting of 64 riders will participate in the thousand-kilometer journey. The first day will conclude in La Spezia, where historic motorcycles will be exhibited in Piazza Europa. This year, the event is notable for its planned conclusion in Sardinia.

Additionally, the Regio Tratturo L’Aquila-Foggia walking route, titled ‘Lu Tratture de na vote’, is scheduled from September 24 to October 3, 2026. This trekking initiative follows the ancient path used for transhumance between the Abruzzo and Puglia regions. The ten-stage journey begins at the Basilica of Collemaggio in L’Aquila and ends in Foggia, passing through various archaeological sites, rural landscapes, and historic villages to preserve the memory of pastoral civilization.
