Italy implements AI and data science initiatives in Molise and Calabria
In the Molise region of Italy, a new digital transformation initiative is being launched to integrate artificial intelligence into local businesses. As part of the national AI Jump! program, the Chamber of Commerce of Molise and Azienda Speciale Serm are organizing a masterclass titled ‘AI & Employment’ on September 16 and 23.
Funded by the Accenture Foundation and coordinated by the Simplon Foundation in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, the program aims to provide practical tools for entrepreneurs and human resources professionals. The training focuses on using AI for corporate communication and resource management to enhance regional competitiveness.
In Calabria, the University of Calabria (Unical) is highlighting the importance of data science and artificial intelligence as tools for regional development. Data analysis is being positioned as a critical skill to address socio-economic challenges, such as youth emigration and economic trends, by providing reliable information for decision-making in both the public and private sectors.
