Italy implements educational reforms and industry-school partnerships

The Italian education system is undergoing a period of transformation characterized by new national guidelines, an increased focus on transversal skills, and the integration of artificial intelligence. As an example of this evolution, the Istituto Comprensivo Statale Simona Giorgi in Milan will experiment with the Finnish organizational model next school year, emphasizing flexible environments, group work, and laboratory-based activities.

In the Varese region, Confindustria Varese is relaunching several initiatives to bridge the gap between schools and the professional world. President Luigi Galdabini emphasized that investing in youth is essential for the development of the local productive system. Key programs include ‘Eureka! Funziona!’, a Federmeccanica and Ministry of Education initiative aimed at primary school students to encourage practical skills through hands-on projects, and ‘Pmi Day’, which focuses on orientation through the Small Industry Committee.
