Umbria regional administration announces environmental mandates and new public sector roles

The Umbria Regional Council has implemented several administrative and regulatory measures across the region. Regarding environmental management, the Integrated Environmental Authorization (AIA) for the GreenASM anaerobic digestion and composting plant in Narni has been renewed. However, this renewal is subject to strict prescriptions and a 12-month suspension of activities to allow for structural upgrades, including improved air suction systems and hermetic sealing to mitigate odor and environmental impact.

In the healthcare sector, the regional government has authorized procedures to fill 17 vacant positions for medical directors and heads of departments within Usl Umbria 1 and Usl Umbria 2. These appointments aim to ensure stable leadership for hospital wards and local health districts, addressing upcoming retirements.

Additionally, several public sector recruitment initiatives are underway. The Regional Forestry Agency of Umbria (AFOR) has announced seven competitions to fill 16 permanent positions for instructors, technicians, and officials. Separately, a notice for external voluntary mobility has been issued to cover 11 official and high-qualification positions and 2 instructor roles within the regional administration.
