Italy inaugurates new nursery school and Montessori laboratory

New educational facilities have been launched in Italy to support early childhood development and social integration. In Cerignola, the Edmondo De Amicis nursery school has officially opened. Funded through the PNRR, the project represents a nearly three-million-euro investment in early childhood services. The facility features six sections equipped with specialized areas for coding, robotics, digital theater, and creative reading, alongside multifunctional spaces designed to support diverse learning methods.

In Rome, the Santa Bakhita SAI Center has introduced a new Montessori-inspired laboratory for mothers and children. This initiative, part of the Erasmus+ funded “Montessori Safe Space” project, aims to foster autonomy and confidence through experiential learning. The program follows a training initiative that prepared educators across Italy and France to implement Montessori principles within social reception contexts, providing a dedicated space for mothers and children to learn at their own pace.
