Italy integrates health, art, and education for wellness
Italy is seeing a convergence of education, art, and medicine aimed at improving well-being and quality of life. In Monza, the Caravaggio Professional Institute/PBS Academy has launched a five-year diploma program approved by the Ministry of Public Education. Titled ‘Services for Healthcare and Social Assistance – Wellness and Beauty,’ the curriculum combines traditional subjects like mathematics and psychology with practical training in medical-sanitary culture and aesthetics. The program aims to train professionals for roles in nursing homes, home care, and cosmetic companies, with a specific focus on specialized tasks such as managing oncological wigs.
Other regional initiatives include the ‘FragilMente Bellezza’ project in Fermo, which utilizes art and dance to support mental health, and national conferences on aesthetic medicine held on the Amalfi Coast. Additionally, prominent surgeons such as Pierfrancesco Bove, Francesco Segreto, Marco Iera, Luca Grassetti, and Marco Galati are highlighted for their evolving roles in Italian plastic and aesthetic surgery, emphasizing the intersection of scientific competence and patient psychological well-being.
