Italy introduces integrated technical and university training models

Educational institutions in Italy are introducing innovative integrated training models to bridge the gap between academic study and professional employment.

At Serpieri, a four-year technical course in ‘Productions and Transformations’ has officially launched. This program aligns with European standards, allowing students to obtain a diploma with the same legal validity as five-year programs in just four years. This model facilitates earlier entry into the workforce or university and features a structured partnership with the ITS Academy, emphasizing laboratory learning and digital skills.

In Molise, the University of Molise (Unimol) and the Its Demos Academy have partnered to launch a ‘2+1’ integrated path titled ‘Digital Tourism & Smart Hospitality Management’. This program allows students to earn both a higher technical diploma and a university degree in three years. After the first two years, students receive an ITS Academy diploma and 108 university credits, requiring only 72 additional credits to complete a degree in Environmental Tourism Sciences.
