Italy issues commemorative stamp for Laura Biagiotti

The Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy has released a commemorative postage stamp to honor the fashion house Laura Biagiotti. Part of the thematic series “Excellence of the productive system and Made in Italy,” the stamp features the brand’s logo set against a cashmere cable-knit pattern, symbolizing the signature yarn associated with the maison.

The issuance celebrates a legacy spanning three generations of women: founder Delia Biagiotti, her daughter Laura Biagiotti, and current Biagiotti Group president Lavinia Biagiotti Cigna. The brand, founded in 1965, gained international recognition, with Laura Biagiotti once being referred to as the “Queen of Cashmere.”

A launch ceremony was held in Rome at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy. The event included a musical tribute featuring composer Andrea Morricone performing works by his father, Ennio Morricone, accompanied by soprano Vittoriana De Amicis. The stamp will be printed in 180,000 units with a face value of 1.30 euros.
