Italy issues food recalls for meat, sandwiches, and milk
The Italian Ministry of Health has issued several food recalls due to contamination risks, undeclared allergens, and product deterioration.
Eurospin has recalled Portami Via brand vitello tonnato (lot L260/26, expiry October 13, 2026) due to the potential presence of Listeria monocytogenes. Consumers are advised not to consume the product and to return it to the point of sale.
Coop has recalled ham sandwiches (lot A-269-Fe, expiry October 31, 2026) because the packaging incorrectly identifies them as ham sandwiches when they actually contain shrimp, failing to declare crustacean allergens.
Additionally, a lot of Cigno partially skimmed pasteurized milk (expiry October 14, 2026) produced by Cooperlat Società Cooperativa has been recalled due to suspected product deterioration. Consumers who purchased this lot are instructed not to consume the milk and to return it to the store.
