Italy issues food recalls for salmon and eggs

Multiple food recalls have been issued in Italy due to microbiological contamination risks.

A batch of 'Food from the world' brand 250g Norwegian Smoked Luxury Salmon (Lot 485116, expiry 28/12/2025) is being recalled due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The product was noted on the Esselunga website. Consumers are advised not to consume the product and to return it to the point of purchase for a refund or replacement.

Additionally, several egg products produced by the agricultural company Fiorin di Lionello & C SS are being recalled due to Salmonella risks. The affected products include various egg packs under the Despar, Selex, and Fattore Natura (Coop) brands, all sharing Lot H10813 with an expiry date of 27/09/26. This follows a previous large-scale recall involving the same producer.
