Italy issues stamp commemorating Carabinieri Labor Protection Command centenary

Poste Italiane has released a new ordinary stamp as part of the “Social Values” thematic series to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Carabinieri Command for the Protection of Labor.

The stamp design features the heraldic emblem of the Carabinieri set within a large gear, symbolizing the constitutional value of work and the emblem of the Italian Republic. The color scheme utilizes blue and red to reflect the identity of the Carabinieri, highlighting the connection between labor, legality, and protection.

Designed by Antonio Bandiera and Tommaso Errico, the stamp was produced by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato. The issuance consists of 23,015 copies in sheets of 45 stamps. Related philatelic products, including folders and postcards, are available through postal offices and the official philately website.
