San Marino reaches preliminary agreement on public sector wage renewal

San Marino's government and trade unions have reached a preliminary agreement to renew public sector employment contracts. The deal aims to address the economic gap created by the expiration of the previous contract at the end of 2024.

The agreement includes specific salary adjustments: a 3% increase for 2025 competencies and a 2% advance based on current year entitlements. These financial measures will also apply to personnel within the Public Works Agency.

Official ratification is expected by the end of the week, pending final approval from union governing bodies. Once the economic aspects regarding arrears are settled, negotiations will shift toward establishing a new long-term contract, potentially spanning three to four years and extending through 2027 or 2028.
