Italy launches 150 million euro cloud and cybersecurity voucher program

The Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT) has launched the Cloud & Cybersecurity Voucher program to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and self-employed professionals in their digital transition. The initiative provides a non-repayable grant of up to 50% of eligible expenses, with a maximum individual contribution of 20,000 euros.

The program is backed by a total fund of 150 million euros from the 2014-2020 Development and Cohesion Fund. Notably, 71 million euros are specifically reserved for spending plans in the Mezzogiorno regions, including Abruzzo.

Eligible expenses include products and services related to cloud computing and cybersecurity, such as backup solutions, storage, databases, virtual machines, firewalls, antivirus software, encryption, and various SaaS platforms like CRM and ERP systems. The goal is to encourage the adoption of advanced technological solutions to enhance business competitiveness and data security.
