Italy launches €30 school voucher scheme for 2026‑27 academic year

The municipality of San Benedetto del Tronto is offering a €30 voucher to families with children in primary and lower secondary schools for the 2026‑27 school year. Applicants must have an ISEE of €10,632.94 or less and submit a digital application by 23:59 on 31 August 2025 using SPID or CIE. The voucher can be spent at participating local retailers.

At the national level, the Ministry of Education approved decree no. 140 on 15 July 2025, creating the Buono Scuola. The programme allocates €20 million to provide bonuses of up to €1,500 per child for students in private lower‑secondary (middle) schools for the 2025‑26 year. The amount is scaled to three ISEE brackets (≤ €10 k, €10‑20 k, €20‑30 k) and requires a digital application through the Unica platform after eligibility verification.
